1. What's New in MagNet v7.1
2. Introduction to MotorSolve IM and BLDC
3. MotorSolve IM
4. MagNet version 7
5. What's New in MotorSolve v2.4
6. Coupling ElecNet to ThermNet
7. Using MotorSolve for Machine Design
Amongst other new features, MagNet v7.1 allows users to simulate the magnetization process; specifically the magnetic field strength inside the permanent magnet component will be determined by the magnetization pattern and source current in the magnetizing coils. The result will be a permanent magnet for which each point inside will have a different recoil loop depending on the flux density that it has reached during the magnetization process.
This recorded demo focuses on how using software tools such as MotorSolve IM (template based design software for induction machines) and MotorSolve BLDC (template based design software for brushless dc machines) can help new and experienced motor designers predict performance of their device.
Exploring design variations and predicting machine performance must be done with the highest degree of accuracy yet also in a timely manner. Most designers have steered clear of accurate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software because of the steep learning curve and lengthy calculations. MotorSolve IM uses automated FEA based simulations to compute performance metrics such as torque, efficiency, losses and much more. You can size, modify and evaluate any number of induction machines in minutes. The unique adaptive automatic coil winding layout feature generates a list of possible balanced layouts regardless of the number of phases.
MagNet version 7 is the new release of the industry leading electromagnetic field simulation software from Infolytica Corporation. New multicore solvers, updated user interface and other new features make designing your motor, generator, transformer, sensor, induction heating systems or any electromechanical device faster and easier than before.
A recorded webinar in which the new features of MotorSolve v2.4, the electric motor design software from Infolytica Corporation, are demonstrated by an application specialist.

With their new coupling feature, the power loss data from ElecNet can be used as a heat source in ThermNet, allowing users to determine the impact of temperature changes on the overall design and performance.
